The LovePrestwich festival is sure to be top of the agenda at the next meeting of Prestwich Local Area Partnership.
The LAP meeting takes place on Thursday, May 14 at Heaton Park Primary School, starting at 6.30pm.
On the eve of The Clough annual event on Sunday, May 17, festival organisers David Curtis and Carran O’Grady will launch the Prestwich Festival Programme, and update all the new events that have recently been added to the online festival website.
Carran said: “The popularity of Prestwich Festival 2009 means that there will be over 50 events over 35 days. Most residents should now have received a Festival Programme, as have pubs, cafes and other public places. That is fantastic and a tribute to Prestwich for our first attempt by anyone’s standard.”
At the LAP, residents will be given an update on the upcoming Oasis concerts in Heaton Park by the event organisers.
Also on the agenda will be a Change 4 Life presentation, plus reports from the Youth Inclusion Panel and Children’s Services.
A new feature of the LAP is “Meet and Greet”, for any member of the public who would like to talk to a panel member before the meeting.
